Bach Week Festival Benefit Concert: 'Heroic Music for Brass, Organ, and Percussion'

Performers from Evanston's venerable Bach Week Festival will visit Winnetka for a fundraising concert featuring dramatic and powerful pieces for brass quintet, organ, and percussion.

Proceeds from ticket sales for the hour-long concert, "Heroic Music for Brass, Organ, and Percussion," will benefit the 39th annual edition of the Bach Week Festival, to be held April 27, May 4, and May 6 at locations in Evanston. The festival has been a musical rite of spring on the North Shore every year since 1974. Bach Week enlists musicians from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Lyric Opera of Chicago Orchestra, and other top-tier ensembles.

The benefit concert in Winnetka will include works from the Renaissance and Baroque eras to the 20th century.
