Pam, I live in Evanston and I remember that there was something simular that took place at the old Holiday Inn in Evanston years back. It wasn't as big by any means like Comic Con at the Rosemont, but the place was packed all the way out the door. I have also noticed that there are more comic book stores that have opened up in the past couple of years. Big market for all of this...who would have thought.

Hi Victoria, I am covering Comic Con for patch.com and would like to try and meet up with your husband and son. If they don't mind being part of the story, could you click the "submit a tip" button and send their contact info (husband's name and cell number) to patch? Thanks! Carrie Miller

Thanks Victoria. Clark, Mapquest says it's 380 miles from Niles to Metropolis IL. That's 6 hrs. 23 min.--but faster if you're flying, I guess! http://www.mapquest.com/#a41826d10ad0692021c9cd8f
