Winnetka Ranked Sixth Top-Earning Town in America

Winnetka was ranked the sixth top-earning town in America, according to CNN Money.

From the sense of community to the great schools, we all have our reason for loving Winnetka. But it seems that people are willing to shell out quite a bit of money to enjoy everything the town has to offer — Winnetka was just ranked the 6th top-earning town in America, according to CNN Money.

The article states that the Village's median family income is $235,432, and the median home price is $840,000.

"Looking for a waterfront home with your own private beach?" the article reads. "You can find it — for a price — in Winnetka, where many successful Chicago executives end up when they move out of the city to raise children. Nestled 16 miles north of the Windy City in the well-heeled North Shore suburbs, village residents are a half-hour train ride from downtown Chicago."

Winnetka is the only North Shore community on the list. Hinsdale is ranked the 9th top-earning town in America. Winnetka and Hinsdale are the only towns in Illinois that made the cut.
