Winnetka and Glencoe Adults Spent a Combined $148,000 on Halloween Last Year

Adults are stealing the Halloween show from kids. See how much you and your neighbors spent on costumes last year!

Americans spent $512.1 million on adult Halloween costumes last year. Yes, you read that correctly.

That number comes from Crain's Chicago Business and its recently released map showing spending on adult costumes for Halloween in 2011. That's $100 million more than was spent on kid's costumes in 2011.

It seems like the adults are getting into Halloween even more from the kids.
