Weekend Weather Planner for the North Shore
About 95 percent of the weekend looks glorious with a good deal of sunshine and rather mild temperatures for this time of year. Another excellent weekend to get in that round of golf or to visit an outdoor cafe, perhaps treat yourself to a doughnut.

General Weather Discussion for the Week Ahead
Mother Nature will be on her best behavior over the next few days with temperatures averaging a little above normal this weekend. This weekend would be good days to visit the and see nature at it best as the leaves' colors change. I do not see any weather issues for Friday, with quite a bit of sunshine and temperatures rising into the mid 50s in the afternoon.
A storm system will develop over the central and northern Plains this weekend, and we will be on the warm side of the storm. Much of the energy and upper-level dynamics will miss us to our north, and we will benefit from this with a great Saturday expected. A trailing cool front will arrive by late Sunday night with perhaps a shower or two ahead of the front; however, this boundary has little moisture, and the rain chances are rather remote.
A zonal pattern (or west to east flow in the atmosphere) will continue through much of next week with a quiet Monday with highs in the 50s. The next storm will begin to organize in the southern Plains and influence our weather on Tuesday and Wednesday, with a decent amount of rain likely.
Once this system passes by to our east, several quiet days are expected, with perhaps a few showers returning to the area by the following weekend. It may also turn cooler around Nov. 13 as a cold snap moves in from the northwest.
Overall, the risk of accumulating snow through Thanksgiving looks low with a better chance of accumulating snow over the next few weeks across the Rockies and perhaps northern New England.
Reminder: It’s okay to get that extra hour of sleep this weekend, but please don’t forget to fall back this Sunday, Nov. 6 at 2 a.m. It’s also a good idea to change the batteries in your smoke detectors.
