Three Rabbits Rescued in Glencoe

Three domestic bunnies were found loose in Glencoe last week.

Three domesticated rabbits - an adult male and two babies - were rescued by Glencoe Animal Control last week. The bunnies were found near Little House, in a resident's yard.

"Somebody abandoned them," said Katie Sweeny, Animal Control Officer. "They are definitely from the same home."

The rabbits were found in a resident's flower bed, trying to eat the plants.

"People can get tired [of pet rabbits] and they release them outside," Sweeny said. "But there are rescues and places that they can go. It's very sad."

The rabbits will be sent to the Cat Nap for the Heart rescue in LaGrange.
