Sneak Peak: Christ Church Rummage Sale

Patch got a look at some of the treasures that go on sale Thursday morning.

Early tomorrow morning, people from all over Chicagoland and beyond are expected to line up for Christ Church's 86th Annual Rummage Sale. The rummage sale is one of the largest and oldest in the country, and last year, the sale grossed more than $225,000. The church awards the net proceeds to various Chicago-area organizations.

What also makes this rummage sale famous, and the reason why so many people flock to it, is how big it is. The parish house and surrounding areas are divided into departments sell all kinds of items, from childrens' toys to kitchen appliances, to dishware and the French Room's designer clothing. Volunteers work all year to collect and sort donations. To get a better idea of what awaits the early birds Thursday morning, check out our photos.

The sale begins at 7 a.m. Thursday and ends at 3 p.m. It is located on the corner of Oak and Maple St. in Winnetka.
