Rotary Club of Winnetka-Northfield Awards Community Grants

The club awarded more than $35,000 to 17 organizations.


The Rotary Club of Winnetka-Northfield recently awarded more than $35,000 to 17 organizations that are “doing good in the world”, according to its Facebook page.

This is the 89th year the Rotary Club of Winnetka-Northfield has supported the works of local and international organizations through its community grants, according to an announcement.

,” Patti Van Cleave, president of the Winnetka-Northfield Rotary Charitable Foundation said in an announcement.  

In 2012, the Rotary Club partnered with Operation Warm to provide more than 670 new winter coats to children from low-income families in Cicero, Highwood and the North Shore.

Here’s the list of the 17 organizations that were awarded community grants:

  2. Allowance for Good
  3. Between Friends
  4. Blues Kids Foundation
  5. Family Promise Chicago North Shore
  6. Free Wheel Chair Mission
  7. Holy Family Ministries
  8. One World Medical
  9. Jewish Council for Youth Services
  10. Josephinum Academy
  11. The Josselyn Center
  12. LINKS North Shore Youth Health Service
  13. Literature for All of Us
  14. Meals at Home
  15. Special Gifts Theatre
  16. Winnetka Community House 
  17. Winnetka Youth Organization
