Preview: Winnetka Readies for Children's Fair

Patch chats with co-chair Jane McCoy about this year's new attractions.

As Winnetka's Village Green transforms into the 66th Annual Children's Fair, co-chair Jane McCoy is happy to celebrate with what looks like great weather.

"It's been a while since we've had two nice days," McCoy told Patch."So far the forecast looks like 70 and sunny—possibly 80 on Saturday."

The event, which marks the end of the school year, runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. This year's fair will feature three new rides, according to McCoy.

"We have the Dragon Wagon, the Frog Hopper and a Paratrooper ride that appeals to older kids." she said.

Going to the fair? While you're there, stop by and say hello to Winnetka-Glencoe Patch at our booth. On Friday from 10 a.m.-noon and Saturday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., we'll have a professional photographer on hand for you to get a photo of your kids. We'll be there for the entire fair, too, passing out Patch goodies and signing people up for our free newsletter.
