Northfield Residents Dissatisfied with S. Happ Road

Many Northfield residents have complained to the village about the roadwork done by the Cook County Highway Department on South Happ Road. 

Dick Knudson, assistant publics works director for the Village of Northfield, says residents are dissatisfied with the roadwork done on South Happ Road from Winnetka Road north. 

“Most of them don’t like the appearance, say it’s too bumpy and doesn’t look like a finished product,” Knudson said. “It doesn’t look like it’s a new road.” 

Patch was unable to reach Cook County Highway Department Superintendent John Yonan for comment. Patch will update the article once we find out when the department will start work on S. Happ Road.
