Kids Plant Flags to Remember 9/11 Victims
The flags were planted as part of Winnetka's annual tradition to remember the victims of September 11.
Although many weren't even born by Sept. 11, 2001, kids of all ages gathered in the Village Green Tuesday to join community leaders in planting 2,977 flags for the victims of the terrorist attacks.
The flags will remain planted in the park until dusk on Sept. 11.
