The Winnetka Historical Society hosted a party and benefit at the "Home Alone" house.

About 160 guests got in the Christmas spirit early this year at a holiday-themed party and benefit June 4 at Winnetka's "Home Alone" house.

The Winnetka Historical Society hosted a benefit at the house that starred in John Hughes' film on the twentieth anniversary of the film's release date.

The event’s co-chairs were Elsa DeJaegher and Betsy Hammond, both of Winnetka.  John and Cynthia Abendshien, who own the house, hosted the event.
