3) Highland Park Restaurant Week — Venture across the border to Highland Park for the town's second annual restaurant weekend. Get deals on everything from fine dining to delicious snacks. April 27, 28. Prices and locations vary.

4) Free Poetry Workshop For Kids — Tamara Will Wissinger, author of Gone Fishing: A Novel in Verse, will be leading a poetry workshop for budding poets ages 9-12. The event is free, but registration is required, and can be done by calling (847) 446-8880. April 27, The Book Stall in Winnetka, 3 p.m. FREE

5) WCH Bike Sale — Whether you're looking to buy a bike, to sell an old one or wondering why yours isn't working correctly, stop by the WCH Bike Sale. Representatives from the Wilmette Bike Shop will be on hand for questions and advice. Sat. April 27, 9:30 a.m., Winnetka Community House. FREE.
