A list of things to do with your kids that will keep them occupied and TV-free

If you're observing TV Tune Out and running out of things to do, here are some events going on around town that will keep you and your kids entertained:

VISIT THE WINNETKA POLICE STATION
Check out some of the artifacts on display in the station and receive a trading card or badge. No tours of the building are available.

BASKETBALL AND OPEN GYM
Free basketball with your friends when you show your TVTO button, wristband or card.

TREASURE HUNT
Search the clubhouse for all of the hidden clues to win a prize.

FIRST CHAPTER EXTRAVAGANZA
Book Stall owner Roberta Rubin, Village President Jessica Tucker, Library Director David Seleb and Hubbard Woods Principal Maureen Cheever will all read aloud the first chapter of one of their favorite books.
