The National Weather Service has issued a wind child advisory through 11 a.m. for Cook County.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind child advisory through 11 a.m. for Cook County.

Wind chill temperatures will reach up to 30 below, the advisory says. "This will result in frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken. If you must venture outdoors...make sure you wear a hat and gloves," the weather service advises.
