WOMEN'S EXCHANGE PRESENTS A WORKSHOP SATURDAY, MARCH 8, 2014 WITH INSPIRATIONAL WOMEN'S AUTHOR JOAN ANDERSON

Spend a Day with Joan Anderson to Learn: The Journey Back to Self

Joan Anderson, a journalist, inspirational speaker and author of five books-including her
most recent, The Second Journey, will be presenting her mind-body-spiritual renewal workshop,
The Journey Back to Self from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., on Saturday, March 8, 2014, at the
Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel, 933 Skokie Blvd., in Northbrook. The workshop will include Continental breakfast, lunch and close with afternoon tea. The fee for this educational
and motivating program is $185.00. Workshop reservations can be made at womens-
exchange.org. Six CEU credits are available for social workers.
Women’s Exchange, located in Winnetka, Illinois, provides empowering programs so
women can share ideas and information to learn, grow and build relationships. This noteworthy
workshop, The Journey Back To Self, is being presented in honor of Women’s Exchange 30th
year.
“Joan Anderson is filled with curiosity about life’s experiences. She exudes warmth and truly cares about the challenges’ women face in their daily lives as they question, who they are
beyond the roles they fill,” says Executive Director Deb Guy.
The workshop will address that very question many women ask themselves: “Who am I beyond the roles that I play?” Practical as well as motivational, the workshop will encourage
women to seize the day, embrace their innate gifts, find a new sense of purpose and embark on a
second journey.
Drawing on Anderson’s experience expressed in her book, Year by the Sea, and the wisdom of her mentor, Joan Erikson, participants will leave the workshop inspired to no longer put
themselves last or be filled with fear to discover who they are beyond their roles: of sister,
daughter, wife and/or mother.
Anderson’s workshop has limited space still available.  For more information, please
contact Deb Guy at deb@womens-exchange.org.  To reserve you place for the $185.00
workshop, please register online at: womens-exchange.org.
Women’s Exchange is a non-profit, 501© (3) that for 30 years has brought various ages
of women (and sometimes men) together from diverse life experiences who meet to learn and
share with each other through programs, classes and Friday Salons (afternoon gatherings for wine
and thoughtful conversion).
Within this nurturing community, women find inspiration, intellectual stimulation and
untapped creativity. To receive weekly program updates submit your email to deb@womens-
