On Sunday April 27, 2014 the Young Ambassadors for UNICEF will be participating in a 7K Walk/Run in Glencoe, IL. The Young Ambassadors are a group of globally-minded youth, ages 10 to 14 years, who volunteer their time to advocate and fundraise for UNICEF in the Chicago area.
Currently, the Young Ambassadors are supporting The Eliminate Project, UNICEF’s global campaign in partnership with Kiwanis International, which aims to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus (MNT), a deadly disease that steals the lives of nearly 60,000 newborns and a significant number of women each year in 25 countries.
All proceeds raised at the run/walk will support The Eliminate Project. Below you will find details on the event.
