North Shore Senior Center Presents Chicago Philharmonic Concert

NORTHFIELD - North Shore Senior Center will host the Chicago Philharmonic Orchestra at 3 p.m. Sunday, February 23 for “Beethoven and Beyond,” the second chamber music concert of “The Romantic Impulse” concert series. The performance will feature strings, woodwind and percussion, including “Trio in B flat Major, Op. 11” by Ludwig van Beethoven. The musical ensemble will include Jennifer Cappelli (violin), Gene Collerd (clarinet), Paula Kosower (cello) and Ivana Bukvich (piano).

The third and final concert, “Take Five: Mozart and Brahms,” is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, March 16.

Tickets are $19 for North Shore Senior Center members and $25 for non-members. Ages 18 and under are admitted for free.

A reception follows the performance.  The concert will take place at the Arthur C. Nielsen, Jr. Campus, 161 Northfield Road, Northfield. To make reservations, please contact Mary Margaret Parker at mparker@nssc.org or 847-784-6050.
