Residents Voice Opinions on Stormwater Plan

There's another town hall meeting to discuss the plan set for this week.

Winnetka hosted their first of two stormwater town hall meetings on Sept. 19. The project is set to cost $41.5 million, and will include a $34.5 million tunnel at Willow Rd. An article by Winnetka Talk states that dozens of residents attended the meeting, with some praising the project - and others scrutinizing it.

"This has started as a small project that snowballed into a [large] project," said resident Anne Wilder, according to Winnetka Talk. "The council is proceeding too quickly and making decisions too rapidly."

"This is a fabulous plan and a plan we have to do," said Michael Canmann, a supporter of the plan, according to Winnetka Talk.

The next stormwater town hall meeting is set for Wed. at 6:30 p.m. at the Winnetka Community House. More information on that meeting is available here.
