Glencoe Village Hall to Serve as Cooling Center

Those needing to cool off from the heat can stop by the Glencoe Village Hall.

The Glencoe Village Hall is being used as a cooling center over the next few days, due to the high temperatures and humidity. The center is available for any Glencoe resident who needs relief, according to the Village website. Village Hall may be accessed 24-hours-per-day and there will be designated areas.

Everyone should be on alert for heat stress. The Village is encouraging everyone to spend as much time indoors and in air conditioning as possible, to drink water regularly and to never leave pets or children alone in a car. Be sure to check on elderly neighbors or those with special needs on a regular basis.

If you need assistance, contact the Public Safety Department at (847) 835-4112.
