Friends Park Dedication Set for Thursday

Friends Park Dedication: The new-and-improved Friends Park will be officially opened and dedicated on Thurs. Join the Glencoe Parks Department for fun and games from 6 until 7 p.m. More information is available here. Karaoke: Are you the next big North Shore star? Then start warming up your vocal chords and join the Rock House for karaoke on Thurs. from 7:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. 

Drop-in Family Chess: Whether you're a regular Bobby Fischer or a total newbie to the game, all families are invited to come play chess at the Northfield Public Library. Materials will be provided, just bring your brain! More information on this event is available here. 

Countdown to College: If you and your student are beginning the college hunt, join experts Sandra Gilbert and Pat Cannon of Ravinia College Consultants to get all of your burning questions answered, including figuring out where to apply and what colleges are looking for! Both parents and students are welcome. This event will be held at the Glencoe Public Library on Thurs. from 7:30 until 9 p.m. More information is available here.
