DESCRIPTION:Local Author Steve Fiffer describes how he came up with the i
 dea for an alphabet string--one sentence using all 26 letters of the alp
 habet in order\, from A to Z--and worked with an artist to turn it into 
 a book\, ARCTIC BEARS CHASE. &nbsp\;Participants will create their own a
 lphabet strings\, using as many letters as possible. &nbsp\;As the child
 ren illustrate their sentences\, we'll (gently)&nbsp\;point out the desc
 riptive words (adjectives) and the action words (verbs) as well as the o
 bjects (nouns) for an early introduction to the parts of speech.&nbsp\; 
 What components do you need to make a long sentence? Limit 12 kids. Reco
 mmended for ages 8 and up.
