And that&rsquo\;s what makes the process of writing so satisfying.\nT his course is designed for writers of all genres: fiction\, nonfiction\, poetry\, and hybrid forms. During our class &ldquo\;play&rdquo\; time\, we&rsquo\;ll try out different tricks and techniques that poets use to add music\, texture\, and meaning to their writing. As inspiration\, we& rsquo\;ll review contemporary writing that uses surprising language and imagery without seeming contrived. But we&rsquo\;ll spend the most time on exercises and free writing to generate fresh phrases and promising st arts&mdash\;while silencing the &ldquo\;inner editors&rdquo\; that preve nt us from taking risks.
