Investigative reporting often includes winning the trust of reluctant sources, protecting the privacy of families and anonymity of whistleblowers, and probing topics that are uncomfortable or emotional. Martha Rosenberg shares useful and surprising tips learned from years of interviewing medical professionals, whistleblowers, government officials, food workers, and families of injured patients.

Rosenberg is an investigative health reporter who has written for Consumers Digest, the Boston Globe, San Francisco Chronicle, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune and other major dailies. Known for exposing under-publicized food and drug risks and tough interviews, she is a regular health columnist at the Huffington Post, AlterNet, Food Consumer and Epoch Times. Her first book, Born with a Junk Food Deficiency: How Flaks, Quacks, and Hacks Pimp the Public Health, has been featured on Book TV/CSPAN, the Times of London Literary Supplement, thePublic Library of Science web site, and praised by Library Journal, Book News(Gale) and FDA Week.  She is also the editorial cartoonist at the Evanston Roundtable.
