DESCRIPTION:Groups of Ascension volunteers\, friends and neighbors work o
 ne Saturday each month with Habitat for Humanity in Lake County June thr
 ough November. They help build decent\, affordable homes for families in
  need while empowering those families to help themselves. Thisyear we be
 gin on Sat. June 16 and will meet to work the 3rd Sat. of each month&nbs
 p\;through November.&nbsp\;&nbsp\; &nbsp\;The group will leave from the 
 Ascension&rsquo\;s parking lot at 7a.m. to go to the work site\, stoppin
 g along the way for coffee and donuts. New sites have been obtained in W
 aukegan and Zion\, where new construction and gut rehab will be done. Ha
 bitat has initiated a new program\, "Brush with Kindness" which is desig
 ned for exterior maintenance to enhance curb appeal in blighted neighbor
 hoods.&nbsp\; Sign up to join a work crew by calling the church office a
 t 847-446-8335. Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older and no prior
  experience is needed.\nAll are welcome to join us!
