Grace Presbyterian opens doors at new church in Winnetka
Grace Presbyterian Church of the North Shore recently bought the building at 440 Ridge Avenue in Winnetka, the former First Church of Christ Scientist Winnetka. Grace held their first Sunday worship service in their new home on September 23 at 9:30 am. Grace Presbyterian was started in 2003 by the Rev. Bill James and several Winnetka families. For the last 8 years Grace has worshiped at Christ Episcopal Church’s Parish House chapel. The congregation feels blessed to own this historic Winnetka property near the heart of the village. “The ‘church‘ is a community gathered in Christ to love God and love our neighbors. This property is only a building! It is our prayer that our church can use this facility to bless and serve the North Shore in many and creative ways.” the Rev. Jason Little said.
Grace worships every Sunday at 9:30 and offers Sunday School for 2 year olds through sixth grade, as well as nursery. In addition, there are many other ways to participate in this growing community of faith whether you are a Christian or just curious about what Christians believe and do.
