2013 marks the first full year in power of China's "Fifth Generation" of Communist Party rule. But today's Party and today's China would be unrecognizable to Mao Zedong or Deng Xiaoping. What's been happening in China? This past year has been economically turbulent, scandal driven, and politically surprising. Jim Kenney will take stock of recent developments and analyze a few possible future scenarios as we try to refine our understanding of a 21st-century superpower.

More About North Shore Senior Center
The North Shore Senior Center offers everything from enrichment and technology classes to entertainment and seminars on senior issues. The fitness center is open to seniors and the larger North Shore community. The volunteer center also helps seniors connect to the community through service, both at the center and in surrounding villages. It also has resources for those who live at home, such as a handyman services and legal and tax assistance.
