The Sheyman for Congress campaign is the first to go up on television in the Illinois' 10th Congressional District, with a brand new tv ad launching Monday!
The ad's called American Dream and it's a powerful reminder of what's at stake in this election and why we need a proven progressive in Congress to rebuild the middle class and restore the American Dream.
Watch the 'American Dream' ad here:

Read the Politico story on the ad here:

Here's what the Washington Post's Greg Sargent says:
The first big progressive-versus-Blue Dog contest of 2012: "This is a race to watch: Ilya Sheyman, who is backed by labor and liberal groups like the Progressive Change Campaign Committee, is running in a primary against Blue Dog Dem Brad Schneider for the right to take on GOP Rep. Robert Dold in Illinois’ 10th district.
Sheyman’s first ad is right here, and this race will be closely watched by national liberals who are hoping to show that unabashed progressives can win in suburban districts."

Everyone has a Litmus test, I guess.
I wouldn’t vote for anyone (Brad Schneider) who claims to be a Progressive Democrat after having given thousands of dollars to the 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010 campaigns of Mark Kirk, to say nothing of my not wanting to vote for anyone (Brad Schneider) who donated thousands of dollars to Anti-Choice, Pro-Gun, Free-Market Republicans such as Bob Bennett, R-UT, Mike Johanns, R-NE, Mike Rogers, R-MI, and Mark Kennedy, R-MN.
That’s my Litmus test, I guess.

Such a moving ad, from a candidate who shares our values and is excited to fight for them. Go Ilya!
