Winnetka Police Blotter: Northfield Man Arrested on Warrant

The following information was supplied by the Winnetka Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

Feb. 4  

Assisting another law enforcement agency - A 64-year-old Northfield man was arrested for an outside traffic warrant from Hinsdale police. This arrest was made after the officer was investigating an unattended vehicle parked at the intersection of Maple Street and Sheridan Road. The driver was located, the warrant was confirmed and the subject was taken to the Winnetka Police Department where he was processed and released on bond. His court date is scheduled for Feb. 21.

Theft - A victim reported that his bicycle was removed by an unknown person while parked unsecured at a bike rack at New Trier High School's Winnetka campus. This occurred on Feb. 2, between 8 a.m. and 3:25 p.m. The bicycle is described as a red 1980s road bike with missing handlebar ends.

Feb. 2

Traffic arrest -  A 33-year-old man from Naperville was arrested for driving without a valid driver’s license. He was also cited for expired registration and negligent driving. This arrest was made after investigating an accident that occurred in the Skokie Lagoons. His court date is scheduled for Feb. 27.

A 44-year-old woman from Skokie was arrested for driving without a valid driver’s license. She was also charged with speeding. This arrest was made subsequent to a traffic stop at 360 Green Bay Road. Her court date is scheduled for Feb. 27.

Identity theft -  A victim discovered several unauthorized purchases that occurred on Jan. 4 on her Macy’s credit card. Four out of state charges were made, totaling $5,283.47.
