Winnetka Blotter: $10K Ring Stolen, Identity Theft

Winnetka police are urging residents to take keep their eyes peeled after a string of six burglaries is being heavily investigated.

Identity Theft
A victim discovered on Dec. 6 that an unknown offender(s) had spent $424.64 in unauthorized purchases on her bank debit card, according to Winnetka Police Reports. The report was filed 600 block of Prospect Ave.
Theft
A victim reported that an unknown offender had removed a platinum diamond ring from a bedroom in her home, according to Winnetka Police Reports. The amount of loss is in excess of $10,000, and the theft was reported from the 500 block of Arbor Vitae.
