Northfield Residents: Give Input on Downtown Direction
Deadline is June 15 for survey that allows residents to weigh in on what services, restaurants and shops you want as plans for new downtown take shape.
The village of Northfield is asking for resident input on what type of attractions they would like to see in the downtown area as future plans take shape.
The survey is available online, and must be completed by Friday, June 15 to register preferences for desired services, restaurants and shops that would attract more people to downtown Northfield.
Residents are asked how often they visit downtown Northfield as well as nearby communities for shopping, eating and leisure/entertainment activities.
The village also is interested in learning where and how often residents make purchases in a number of commercial areas in Northfield and the neighboring communities.
Answers to survey questions will remain anonymous.
Northfield is committed to strengthening its downtown with shops, restaurants and services that residents want and need, according to the
Village of Northfield website.

That photo is of Northfield, MN. Then again, it does seem much nicer than downtown Northfield, IL.

Dear Reluctant Surburbanite,
Thank you for catching my error-as I go through our file photos I realize we need a picture of the Northfield's current downtown. I'll be taking care of that this week!
Best, Melanie
