Winnetka-Northfield Sidewalk Sale Offers Deals, Beer and Wine
This is the first time the event is offering alcoholic beverages. The sale will feature more than 130 vendors and will run Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Winnetka-Northfield's annual Sidewalk Sale will feature a new street festival this year, along with a variety of local vendors.
The Sidewalk Sale, a "long-standing tradition" for more than 40 years, will attract even more crowds with the Let Loose on Lincoln festival, said Terry Dason, executive director of the Winnetka-Northfield Chamber of Commerce.
"The street will be closed, and we will have a classic car show, bands, other live entertainment, food, beer and wine," Dason said of the event.

Three business districts, Hubbard Woods, East Elm and West Elm, are involved in the sale. Over 130 vendors have signed up as of Monday, and Dason expects even more will participate by the time the Sidewalk Sale starts.
She says residents will be amazed at the remarkable deals available during the sale.
"This is North Shore's premier sidewalk sale because we have an incredible merchant list, high-end merchants that are going to be offering merchandise at discount prices," Dason said. "That's always exciting!"
The Sidewalk Sale will be held on July 20 and 21, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Merchants include restaurants, health and beauty services, home decor, sporting goods, designer jewelry and clothing stores.
Let Loose On Lincoln will be held July 21 from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Lincoln Avenue, south of Elm Street.
