Unknown persons stole $2,400 worth of power tools from a construction trailer in the 400 block of Whittier Lane sometime between Nov. 15 and 20.
Theft Over $500
Employees of Fields Volvo (770 W. Frontage Rd.) reported that a 7.5-foot red Western snowplow was stolen sometime between the month of October and Nov. 20. The total value was $3,857.25.
Theft Under $500
Someone entered an unlocked office at New Trier High School and stole $130 in cash from a wallet on Nov. 19 between 1:40 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Theft From Motor Vehicle
Someone stole the registration sticker off the license plate of a car parked in the 1600 block of Colonial Lane on Nov. 20. The value was $99.
Moises D. Garcia-Serfin, 30, of 1824 N. Sawyer Ave. in Chicago, was arrested for having no valid driver's license on Nov. 24 just after 3 a.m. Police originally stopped him for driving 49 mph in a 35-mph zone in the 2000 block of Willow Road. They said they also discovered that he had no proof of insurance. He was released on a $1,500 i-bond, and his court date is Dec. 28.
Neill T. Holley, 32, of 841 W. Windsor Ave. Apt. 3A in Chicago, was arrested for having no valid driver's license on Nov. 25 around 6:40 p.m. He was initially stopped for driving 55 mph in a 35-mph zone in the 1600 block of Willow Road, police said. He was released on a $1,500 i-bond, and his court date is Jan. 10.
A resident of the 1600 block of Winnetka Road thought he saw a cougar in the fog on Nov. 21 around 6:20 a.m. Police responded, but the animal was gone on arrival.
