Reckless driving: A 31-year-old Schaumburg man careened past a car on the exit ramp to Willow Road from I-94, disobeyed the stop sign, and crashed a 2011 Nissan Versa into a car traveling eastbound on Willow. The man was wanted for fleeing police after a retail theft in Skokie. He did not have insurance. Police from that township arrived to pick up him and process them on their own charges, but not before Northfield Police gave him a $2,000 recognizance bond and a court date on Feb. 21.
No driver's license: The man the reckless driver hit turned out to not have a driver's license. The 38-year-old Waukegan man had been in the country for six years but had never been issued a license. He was released on a $2,000 i-bond and given a court date of Feb. 21 as well.

The estimated value of the tire and rim was $1,468.66. Later in the morning, around 8:30 a.m., police stopped a 22-year-old Romeoville man. He was dressed in black and was walking up and down the 400 block of Willow Road. They took him back to the station to speak with a Lithuanian translator, at which point they arrested him for the theft and removal of motor vehicle parts. He was released on a $1,500 i-bond and given a court date of Jan. 20.
