Jewelry Theft of $14,800, Warrant, Traffic Arrest: Glencoe Police Blotter

The following arrest information was supplied by the Glencoe Public Safety Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

May 16

Theft: A resident in the 400 block of Woodlawn Avenue reported to police that between March 3 and May 16, three rings, a single earring and a watch went missing from her master bedroom dresser drawer. The estimated loss is $14,800.

May 17

Warrant: Police discovered a bond forfeiture warrant for a 31-year-old woman from Norridge. Her court date is June 20.

Traffic Arrest: A 35-year-old man from Chicago was charged with driving on a cancelled driver’s license and aggravated speeding at the corner of Sheridan Road and Franklin Drive at 4:25 a.m. His court date is June 28.

The police issue a reminder that beginning Memorial Day weekend, there will be increased public safety presence around public beaches along the lakefront.
