Growing up in a Taiwanese household meant that Christmas was not about waiting for Santa to arrive or opening presents. It meant one thing – we could watch holiday movies all day without being told off by our parents. 

Now with my own extended family, we celebrate Christmas with an Asian twist, which mainly consists of spending the day in the kitchen cooking our favorite dishes for the ones we love.
