Why Go: Tinkering tots, ages seven and up are welcome to build their own Lego masterpieces at the library’s evening event.

Lego Master Building Event
Where/When: All this weekend. Northbrook Court Shopping Center, 2171 Northbrook Ct, Northbrook
Why Go: Families craft a brick which will be used to build an eight-foot-tall Buzz Lightyear statue. The event takes place on the mall's lower level near Lord & Taylor.

Open Mic Night
Where/When: Friday, Feb. 18 at 6 p.m., Winnetka Youth Organization, 620 Lincoln Ave, Winnetka.
Why Go: Kids and teens are encouraged to showcase their talents at open mic night to help raise awareness during February the Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month.

Beeswax Candles
Where/When: Saturday, February 19 at Chicago Botanic Garden, 1000 Lake Cook Rd, Glencoe. The program runs 9:30-11 a.m. and 1-2:30 p.m.
Why Go: Put a little spring fever in the air by planting a flower that will attract bees and treat yourself by making a beeswax candle.

Disney on Ice Toy Story 3
Where/When: Daily, 7-9 p.m. Allstate Arena from January 26-30 and the United Center from February 2-13.
Why Go: The toys are back in town for an ice skating show for kids of all ages!
