Glencoe Police Blotter: $4,000 Bracelet Theft, Bike Theft, Credit Card Misuse

April 17
Theft: A resident reported that someone took his blue, three-speed, mountain Haro bike, which had been left unlocked on the bike rack at Central School, 620 Greenwood Ave. The theft occurred between April 2 and April 17, the resident told police.
April 18
Theft: A resident in the 900 block of Valley Road reported a lost or stolen 14-carat, gold diamond bracelet, according to police. She believes it went missing sometime between June 2011 and Feb. 1, 2012. The approximate value is $4,000.

April 21
Deception, Unlawful Credit Card Use: A resident in the 900 block of Sheridan Road reported the unauthorized use of her credit card for $624. According to police, the purchases were on April 17. The card was cancelled, and police are investigating.
April 24
Theft: A 37-year-old man from McHenry was charged with theft for an incident that occurred Aug. 28, 2011, during which he used a stolen credit card to make an unauthorized purchase, according to police. His court date is May 1.
