Glencoe Blotter: Woman Threatens Neighbors, Trapped Bird Rescued

A summary of crimes reported in Glencoe from Sept. 15-23.

 

The following items are taken from the Glencoe Public Safety Department. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Sept. 24

No Drivers License: A Highland Park man was arrested at 7:57 p.m. for driving without a valid license and without insurance or vehicle registration at the intersection of Green Bay Road and Lake Cook Road.

Intoxicated Subject: Police responded to reports of a woman bothering kids at 8:59 p.m. at Friends Park at corner of Tudor Court and Vernon Avenue. She was escorted to her residence.

Sept. 25

Illegal Transport of Alcohol: A Chicago man was cited for illegal transportation of alcohol at 1:16 a.m. at the corner of Elder Court and Forestway Drive.

Animal Complaint:  A chipmunk was seen running around a home in the 300 block of Jefferson Avenue at 12:17 p.m. The offending rodent left premises by time police arrived.

Sept. 26

Animal Complaint: A bird was stuck in Halloween decorations at 10:36 a.m. in the 600 block of Grove Street. Police freed the bird from the spiderweb decoration.

Animal Complaint: A bat was seen flying around a home at 6:11 p.m. in the 100 block of Harbor Street. Police removed the bat, which reportedly flew away.

Sept. 27

Disorderly Conduct: In the 300 block of Hazel Avenue, a woman was arrested at 12:12 a.m. after three neighboring apartment tenants complained of banging noises. After release, the woman allegedly threatened a neighbor for calling police and was arrested again at 5:04 a.m.

Sept. 29

Driving with Suspended License: A Chicago woman was pulled over at 8:01 p.m. for a burnt-out license plate light, and was then arrested for driving with a suspended license and expired insurance at the corner of Monroe and Vernon Avenues.

Driving Under the Influence: An Evanston man was pulled over at 8:30 p.m. after he was seen weaving in and out of his lane. He was charged with driving under the influence and an open container violation. Two passengers were also charged with open container violations.
