Enjoy Weeknights at Botanic Garden

Chicago Botanic Garden in Glencoe has events each weekday night through the summer, including farm dinners, entertainment and musical performances for the whole family.

 

Chicago Botanic Garden in Glencoe is offering a variety of events to be enjoyed each weekday night throughout the summer.  

The events, held Monday through Thursday evenings, include picnics on the lawn, live blues and jazz, entertainment for the kids, Farm Dinners and music you can dance to.

Carillon Concerts by the Water-Mondays

Musical performances with carillon bells by Carillonneurs from around the world can be enjoyed Mondays at 7 p.m. through September 3. The 45-minute performances are on the 48 bells of the Theodore C. Butz Memorial Carillon.  Tours and demonstrations are held every 15 minutes from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Picnics on the lawn are welcome. 

Music on the Esplanade-Tuesdays

Live music including Spanish guitar, jazz and blues plays in the background as you can walk the gardens on Tuesdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. through August 28. On June 26, Bopology Swing will bring both jazz and swing to the Bontanic Garden. 

Dancin' Sprouts-Wednesdays

Dancin' Sprouts provides entertainment for the whole family Wednesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. through August 29. On June 27, Laura Doherty performs folk-pop music with her acoustic guitar. 

Farm Dinners-Wednesdays

Local chefs prepare unique, family style meals from fresh and seasonal foods July 18, August 15 and September 5 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Regenstein Fruit and Vegetable Garden.  Participants also will learn about growing organic foods. 

Hot Summer Nights Music Series-Thursdays

Upbeat music you can dance to (if you choose to), is performed Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. through August 30. On Thursday, June 28, Pamela Rose and Windy City Country perform country and western classics.
