Jewelry and silverware valued at more than $10,000 was stolen from a home in the 400 block of Sheridan Road on Dec. 18. Police said the offenders forced their way into the home.
$10K Loss Due to Identity Theft
A resident in the 900 block of Vine Street discovered between Dec. 17 and 19, someone used his personal information to create a fraudulent check and cashed it using his checking account. The loss is estimated at more than $10,000 police said.
A package delivered via Fed-Ex was reported missing from the front porch of a home in the 700 block of Prospect Avenue on Dec. 11. The loss was estimated at $88, police said.
An unsecured blue men’s bike valued at $250 was stolen from a driveway in the 110 block of Oakley on Dec. 23.
Graffiti was discovered on the south wall near the east opening of the Indian Hill tunnel at 101 Green Bay Rd. on Dec. 19. Public works department was notified to remove the graffiti and the repairs were estimated at $150, police said.
Sheila Enright, 59, of 1406 Hood, Chicago, was arrested Dec. 17 for driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop at 38 Green Bay Road. She was also cited for improper lane usage and issued a Jan. 23 court date.
A 17-year-old from New Trier Township was arrested Dec. 20 for deceptive practices at 385 Winnetka Ave., following an investigation of a prior incident that occurred on Dec. 18, police said.
