Winnetka Resident Stars in MY ONE AND ONLY at the Marriott Theatre and CINDERELLA at the Marriott Theatre for Young Audiences
Rounding out the Marriott Theatre’s 2012 season, is the Tony Award-winning song and dance spectacular, MY ONE AND ONLY, which features an incomparable Gershwin score and thrilling dance. This captivating musical romance previews November 7, opens Wednesday, November 14 and runs through January 6 at 10 Marriott Drive, Lincolnshire, IL. MY ONE AND ONLY will be directed and choreographed by Jeff Award winner Tammy Mader and features Winnetka resident, Stephen Schellhardt, in the ensemble.
MY ONE AND ONLY is the Jazz Age story of Captain Billy Buck Chandler, a barnstorming aviator, and Edythe Herbert, an ex-English Channel swimmer and the star of Prince Nicolai’s International Aquacade. Through a series of adventures and misadventures, their romantic pursuit is thrown off course, but together they are able to navigate their way to a happy ending. This tap spectacular with legendary songs “’S Wonderful”, “Funny Face”, “Strike Up the Band”, “He Loves and She Loves” and “Kickin’ The Clouds Away” will have audiences floating on air.
MY ONE AND ONLY stars Jeff Award winners Andrew Lupp as “Billy” and Summer Naomi Smart as “Edythe”. Tony Award nominee Felicia P. Fields is featured as “Reverend Montgomery” with Emmy Award winner and Tony Award nominee Ted Louis Levy as “Mr. Magix”. Also featured in the production will be Jeff Award winners Roger Mueller as “Nikki” and Paula Scrofano as “Mickey”. Ensemble members include Quinn M. Bass, Jaclyn Burch, Jameson Cooper, Dina DiCostanzo, Zachary L. Gray, Amanda Kroiss, Alex McCrary, Jarran Muse, Matt Raftery, Clinton Roane, Stephen Schellhardt, Steven Spanopoulos, Tiffany Topol and Melissa Zaremba.
Lead Artistic Director Andy Hite heads the Artistic Team of MY ONE AND ONLY, with Direction and Choreography by Tammy Mader, Music Direction by Michael Mahler, Lighting Design by Jesse Klug, Scenic Design by Thomas M. Ryan, Costume Design by Nancy Missimi, Sound Design by Robert E. Gilmartin and Properties Design by Sally Weiss. Patti Garwood conducts the Marriott Theatre Orchestra.
The performance schedule is Wednesdays at 1:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays at 8:00 p.m., Saturdays at 4:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., and Sundays at 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Special added holiday and New Year’s Eve performances. Ticket prices range from $40 to $48, plus tax and handling fees. Stephen will also appear in the ensemble of the Rodgers & Hammerstein’s classic tale CINDERELLA at the Marriott Theatre for Young Audiences, from November 17th through December 31st. Join Cinderella, her Fairy Godmother, a handsome Prince, and two selfish Step-Sisters, as they turn “Impossible” to “Possible” in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s most beloved tale.
CINDERELLA stars audience favorite Dara Cameron as “Cinderella” (HERO, Wizard of Oz, Little Women), and Brian Bohr (Dreamgirls, Pirates of Penzance, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat) as the “Prince.” Rounding out the stellar cast is Susan Moniz as the “Fairy Godmother,” Iris Lieberman as the “Stepmother,” Kelley Abell as “Portia,” Ericka Mac as “Joy,” Stephanie Binetti as the “Queen,” and Rob Rahn as the “King.” The ensemble features George Keating, Stephen Schellhardt, Jameson Cooper, and Alexandra Palkovic.
