The Winnetka Youth Organization Thanks Supporters of Their Spring Benefit
The Winnetka Youth Organization (WYO) hosted a successful fundraiser on Thursday, April 5th at the Winnetka Community House. Guests enjoyed dinner from Catered by Design and Goose Island Beer Co. generously donated some of their finest spirits. The WYO is happy to report nearly 50 community members, parents, and supporters in attendance -- including the Village President Jessica Tucker and Village Commissioner Sandra Berger. Entertainment for the evening highlighted the musical talents of Daniel Berkey and Noah Lande, both students of New Trier High School, who performed a jazz duet during the cocktail hour. The event included a live auction, silent auction, raffle prizes and more. Some of the most sought after items included Chicago Cubs vs. White Sox tickets, an autographed Chicago Bears helmet signed by Julius Peppers and Ravinia “Meet & Greet” passes for both Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers ,as well as, Tony Bennett. In total the WYO raised almost $9,000, just short of their goal of $10,000, which will help fund safe, creative and fun programs for local teens. The WYO wants to send an enormous thank you to all of the donors and everyone who supported the event. WYO supporters can make a donation on the website at www.winnetkayo.org or by contacting Liz Fales at admin.wyo@gmail.com or (847) 446-0443.
