Open House Public Hearing for the Willow Road Phase I Study
The Village of Winnetka is performing a Preliminary Engineering Study for Willow Road from west of Forestway Drive to Provident Avenue in the Village of Winnetka. The purpose of the meeting is to present the preferred improvement plan, the project schedule, and seek public input and comments regarding the project. The proposed improvement plans impact the adjacent Forest Preserve District of Cook County land including the Skokie Lagoons Forest Preserve. The impacts have been minimized to the
maximum extent possible. There will be some impacts to trees due to the widening of Willow Road however there are no impacts to any active use recreational features. The Village of Winnetka is seeking 4(f) De Minimis Impact finding from the Federal Highway Administration for these impacts.

All interested persons are invited to attend the open house public hearing for this project. The meeting will be accessible to persons with a disability. Anyone in need of special assistance and planning to attend should contact the Village of Winnetka as listed below before June 1, 2012 by telephone, in writing, or by e-mail.
The meeting will be conducted on an informal, open house basis. Representatives from the Village of Winnetka and consultant staff will be available to discuss the project and to answer questions on an individual basis.
