HomeMade Pizza Company Makes Valentine's Day Sweet for Samaritan Counseling Center

On Valentine’s Day the Samaritan Counseling Center held a fundraiser at the Winnetka HomeMade Pizza store and raised $718.  Every customer who purchased a large pizza, a salad, an order of breadsticks, or a gift card helped to raise funds to support friends and neighbors in their community who are struggling.

The Samaritan Counseling Center (www.northshoresamaritan.org ), a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization with offices in Chicago, Evanston, Lake Forest, Libertyville, Wilmette, and Winnetka, offers a safe place for discovery, healing and growth.  In our fast paced world, it is difficult to escape the pressures and complexities of daily living.  We believe that psychology and faith—together—provide a foundation for mental health, personal growth, resolving problems and getting more out of life.

The Center provides services to a wide range of clients, regardless of ability to pay.  No one is turned away and our services, for those without insurance, are provided on a sliding scale based on income and family size.  About 40% of our operating budget is covered by donations and about 22% of our clients receive subsidies.

Our staff therapists are licensed, certified and theologically informed.  The Samaritan Counseling Center is accredited by the Denver-based Samaritan organization and the American Association of Pastoral Counselors.

The Board of Directors is grateful to HomeMade Pizza Company for their support and generosity. We look forward to working together with them in the future.
